Why don't my messages (or some of my friends' twitter messages) show up?

The most likely explanation is you or your friends have chosen to keep your status updates private. Since Quotably.com does not authenticate users it can not access these private twitter updates. If your account is not private and you're still not seeing new updates, Let us know.

Why am I seeing stale data?

It can take up to 5 minutes for Quotably.com to display new twitter messages.

Why does it thread messages wrong sometimes?

Due to the nature of twitter, there is no way to know for sure what message an @reply is responding to. We currently follow the same heuristic as Twitter and assume the reply was targeted at the last message of the user in question. For cases where this is incorrect, you may fix the threading by hand using the "fix threading" links that follow each message.

Can Quotably.com see my messages if they're set to 'private'

No. Your Twitter account must be set to allow anyone to view your updates.
